Lead Line Cook – Join Our Culinary Team!
Position Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (April/May to October)
Salary Range: $29 -$33/hr. based on experience

Are you an experienced cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? Atlantic Golf Club is seeking a talented Line Cook to prepare exceptional dishes and contribute to our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will prepare food for daily menus, buffets, and staff meals. You will ensure all dishes are made in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. You will work under the direction of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver outstanding dining experiences for both staff and members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely Food Preparation: Ensure all dishes are prepared promptly by restocking ingredients and meeting prep times to guarantee smooth delivery.
- Portion Control: Practice portion control and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency within forecasted ranges.
- Recipe Execution: Follow recipes to prepare, cook, and assemble dishes, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Ingredient Freshness: Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients and products, adhering to First In/First Out (FIFO) procedures.
- Staff & Member Meals: Prepare and serve staff meals, as well as food prep for the Halfway House.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean workstation, including proper storage of unused food, and follow club protocol for cleaning at the end of the shift.
- Leadership: Provide guidance and training to junior line cooks, assist in developing cooking techniques and standards, assist in tracking inventory levels, provide input on new menu items or changes to existing dishes based on expertise and member feedback.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Perform all food service duties in compliance with Suffolk County Health Codes, including ensuring you arrive at work in clean clothing at the start of each shift.
- Additional Tasks: Assist with additional duties as assigned by the line supervisor, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef.

- Experience: 3+ years' experience in a line cook role.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow recipes, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure proper food storage.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet service demands.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with the kitchen team, including the ability to take direction and contribute to the success of the kitchen.
- Cleanliness: Commitment to maintaining a sanitary work environment and following health and safety protocols.
